This Privacy Notice sets out the basis on which HR Matters Ltd will process personal information provided to us, this information is also referred to as 'personal data'. HR Matters Ltd (referred to, “HR Matters,” “we,” or “us”) collect, use and share information collected through our website, APP and by our team.

This privacy policy is designed to give you information as to how we will get and process personal data relating to you in connection with the services we provide to you. We may process your personal data on the basis that you have consented to us doing so for a specific purpose, for example, if you apply for a specific role you may have consented to our processing of the data that has been provided for the purpose of progressing your application and considering your suitability for that role. How do we process information?

We use a third-party service to publish our website. We use a standard service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it. 

People who email us 

We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law. 

Use of cookies 

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our Site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. Where do we store your personal data?

HR Matters offers various online services and resources relating to human resources and people management. We use third-parties to deal with some direct marketing campaigns, but they are only allowed to use the information to send out the notifications. 

We have to hold the details of the people who have requested our services in order to provide them. However, we only use these details to provide the service to the person or organisation that has requested, and for other closely related purposes. When people do subscribe to our services, they can cancel their subscription at any time and are given an easy way of doing this. 

HR Matters shall be classed as a Data Controller where deciding the way data is processed when looking to meet our contractual obligations, for example where selecting third party suppliers to support our online systems. 

Personal information we collect from you, or from a client relating to you, will be retained where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you or our clients with a service or to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements). 

The email addresses of account holders may be used for targeted advertising campaigns, which can include direct emails and targeted advertisements through social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook. 

More information on HR Matters ’s processing activities relating to service provision shall be made available to our clients on engagement, on request or through our online services.
